Our team

Four people. Two vans, one office, one apprentice. No stock photography, no invented portraits: the owner is the person in the ad, and everyone else gets initials rather than a photo we do not actually have.

Dane Hollis

Owner, plumber and drainer

QBCC-licensed plumber and drainer, Queensland gas work licence, backflow prevention endorsement

Dane did nine years on new-build sites around Robina and Reedy Creek before starting the business out of one ute in 2013. He still takes most of the leak tracing jobs himself, largely because he enjoys the part where nobody else could find it.

Sam Kelleher

Plumber and drainer

QBCC-licensed plumber and drainer, Queensland gas work licence, thermostatic mixing valve endorsement

Sam runs the second van and handles most of the hot water changeovers and gas appliance work. He is the one who will talk you out of a new unit when the element is the problem.

Kate Lomax

Office manager and bookings

Certificate III in Business Administration

Kate answers the phone, books the days and chases every parts warranty so customers do not have to. She is also the reason the vans are stocked before the first job rather than after it.

6 years in the trade

Toby Ashcroft

Apprentice plumber, third year

Certificate III in Plumbing (in progress), construction white card

Toby is in his third year and does most of the drain camera work. He reads a line on the screen faster than either of the licensed blokes, which they are trying not to mention.

A note on photos

Dane is the plumber you see in the ad, at the sink. The rest of the crew are represented by their initials rather than a photo taken for a different purpose, because a stock portrait would not actually be them.
