A leak that shows up in one place has usually started somewhere else. We isolate the supply, work back through the fittings, and where the run is concealed we use acoustic listening and a pressure test rather than opening a wall on a guess. You are told what we found, what the repair costs, and what happens if we open it up and find something worse behind it.

A visible fitting leak sits near the bottom of the range. Concealed pipe, wall cavity and under-slab leaks need tracing first, and making good tiles or render is quoted separately.

Can you find a leak without cutting the wall open?
Most of the time, yes. Acoustic listening plus a pressure test on the isolated run will usually put us within about half a metre. We only open the wall once we can tell you where and why.
My water bill jumped but nothing looks wet. Is that a leak?
Often it is. We start at the meter with every tap in the house off. If the dial is still turning, the leak is on your side of the meter, and that test takes about ten minutes.
Do you charge just to come and look?
There is an $89 call-out in business hours, which covers travel and the first thirty minutes on site, and it comes off the invoice when the work goes ahead.
